The Airport MRT is currently the fastest way to reach Taipei city center from the airport. All you have to do is hop on the MRT from the airport terminal and it will bring you to Taipei Main Station in just 35 minutes!

2. Taxi or Uber: ( From Taoyuan airport to Taipei City)
The taxi/Uber is definitely the easiest. A ride from Taoyuan airport to Taipei city center from the airport takes about 40-50 minutes and will cost around NT$1,200/US$40.50, depending on which area you’re going to. Taxis/ Uber are very safe in Taiwan, and the taxi drivers are generally friendly too! Just be sure to have your hotel’s address ready in Chinese, as most drivers don’t speak English very well.

Here is some information that will help to make your stay in Taipei more fun and pleasant.
LOCAL TIME:
The local time is GMT + 8 hours. There is no change in time between summer and winter.
LANGUAGE:
The official language of the Mandarin Chinese, but people speak some English.
CLIMATE:
The weather is changeable and varies in Taipei. It is mostly sunny ,temperature between 25 °C (77 °F) to 10 °C (50 °F) in February.
CLOTHING:
Light weight summer clothing is suitable for most of the year. However, sweaters or jackets are needed in February.
TRAVELERS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS
Taiwan Tao yuan International Airport has a special handling area for passengers with special needs. Several hotels and major shopping malls have good access and facilities for people with special needs.
BUSINESS DAYS & WEEKENDS:
Office hours are from Monday to Friday, and the weekend is Saturday & Sunday.
CREDIT CARDS:
All major international credit cards are accepted.
CURRENCY:
The monetary unit is the NTD (New Taiwan Dollar) at a rate of 1USD = 31.43 NTD

ELECTRICITY:

It can be purchased at the Duty Free Shop at the airport( limit: 1 liter of alcoholic beverage ) , and it is served in licensed hotels, but it can also be purchased in the supermarkets or liquor stores here. Drinking is permissible in public places (unless otherwise stated) in Taiwan.
DRUGS
Taiwan has absolutely no tolerance towards drug offences.

Most hotels & Malls in Taiwan offer free internet accessibility to their guests.
